Job Summary:
The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents and threats in a fintech environment. This role focuses on implementing and managing cybersecurity programs to protect sensitive financial data, ensuring compliance with security policies, and mitigating risks. The Cybersecurity Analyst will also support business continuity, disaster recovery efforts, and manage network security operations, with a focus on cloud environments (AWS/GCP) and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and financial regulations like GDPR and PCI-DSS.
Key Responsibilities:
Incident Response & Management:
- Detect, report, and investigate cybersecurity incidents in real time, particularly those impacting sensitive financial data.
- Collaborate with internal teams to remediate incidents and ensure compliance with incident response policies, including those related to fintech regulatory requirements.
- Continuously improve incident response processes to address emerging threats in cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
Cyber Risk Management:
- Perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in IT systems and cloud infrastructures (AWS/GCP), with a focus on financial systems security.
- Develop risk treatment plans and implement mitigation strategies aligned with ISO 27001 and fintech regulations such as GDPR and PCI-DSS.
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery:
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure the resilience of IT systems handling sensitive financial transactions.
- Support business continuity initiatives, focusing on maintaining fintech operations after security incidents or system failures.
Network & Cloud Security:
- Oversee the security of the organization’s network, including firewalls, IDS, and access controls, with special attention to financial transaction integrity.
- Manage the security of cloud environments (AWS, GCP), ensuring secure configurations and compliance with fintech-specific regulations like PCI-DSS.
Compliance and Audit:
- Assist in developing and implementing cybersecurity policies aligned with ISO 27001 and financial regulations (GDPR, PCI-DSS, etc.).
- Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with fintech industry standards and cloud security compliance.
Security Administration:
- Manage day-to-day security operations for fintech-related IT systems, including the configuration and maintenance of security tools in both on-premise and cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
Threat Intelligence & Detection:
- Monitor and analyze threat intelligence data to identify potential risks, particularly those targeting financial data.
- Use threat detection tools to identify and respond to vulnerabilities and threats in financial systems and cloud services.
Security Program Management:
- Assist in the planning and execution of security programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with ISO 27001 and financial regulations.
- Work with senior security staff to refine the security strategy to protect financial data and cloud infrastructure.
Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate cybersecurity risks, policies, and mitigation strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in the fintech ecosystem.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures align with business objectives and cloud strategies.
- Threat Analysis and Defence:
- Conduct threat analysis to assess and respond to potential risks targeting financial systems.
- Develop defense mechanisms to protect the organization’s IT assets, particularly those handling sensitive financial transactions, from malicious threats.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles, preferably in fintech or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of network security, risk management, cloud security (AWS/GCP), and incident response.
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and threat detection tools.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI-DSS, and other fintech regulations.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP preferred.
Skills:
- Incident detection and management for financial systems.
- Network and cloud security configuration and monitoring (AWS/GCP) for fintech applications.
- Risk assessment and mitigation aligned with ISO 27001 and fintech regulations.
