System Developer

Key Responsibilities

System Development & Integration:

• Design, develop, and maintain core infrastructure systems that support the business.
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate systems into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Automation & Scripting:

• Develop scripts and automation tools to optimize workflows, reduce manual tasks, and ensure efficient deployment and monitoring.
• Work with orchestration tools to manage containerized environments (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).

Monitoring & Performance Optimization:

• Implement and manage system monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of infrastructure.
• Conduct regular performance tuning, scaling, and optimization of systems.

Security & Compliance:

• Ensure that systems meet regulatory and security standards specific to the business.
• Apply patches, updates, and maintain system security.

Collaboration & Support:

• Work with development, operations, and security teams to deliver robust, scalable systems.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a System Developer in the DevOps space, preferably within the FinTech industry.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of security best practices in system development and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, system architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and caching technologies (e.g. Redis, Memcached).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
