Finance Ops Associate, Standard Chartered nexus

What you will be doing:
The Finance Operations Associate will be instrumental in building out the finance function, ensuring robust processes and controls, suitable for supporting the business. You should have extremely strong technical accounting skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for high growth early-stage companies

• Be the internal lead overseeing accounting and financial functions of the Company (Billing, Bookkeeping, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition) via our outsourced accounting vendor
• Assist in preparation of consolidated management and statutory accounts
• Establish robust and scaleable financial reporting processes
• Ensure effective internal controls and documentation of finance processes and procedures
• Provide management with advice on financial implications of business activities
• Experience in handling audits and driving it to closure

What you need to be successful in this role:

• Advanced Accounting degree
• Experience with the Big 4 accounting firms is a must
• At least 3 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
• Experience with creating financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
• Familiar with computerised accounting packages eg Xero, MS Dynamics or Quickbooks
• Experience in Financial Technology preferred but not required
