Our Client


Our client is a FinTech platform that’s shaking up the world of business finance with on-demand financing against accounts receivable. They help ambitious companies grow by providing funding when they need it most, instead of waiting up to 90 days for their customers to pay invoices. They've helped many businesses achieve their goals by combining smart technology with transparent, flexible, and cost-effective invoice financing.


The Role


Our client's looking for a hard-working, highly motivated individual to lead the sourcing of SME business owners and executing partnerships with variousreferrer channels. You will help financial brokers, accountants, and small business owners through the application process as their main point of contact and help our clients customers get the funding they need.


This individual will also be responsible for the selling of invoice finance solution to prospective clients. They will work closely with the Credit and Operations team to nurture and close leads. The individual will become an expert in funding solutions in the marketplace, understand a variety of client needs and present the right solution to their client.


Within this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quarterly targets, attending client and industry events and building effective relationships with their internal stakeholders. These relationships will be integral to the success of their quota.


You'll be tasked with explaining to business owners and Financial Directors the benefits of using our clients FinTech platform to fund their cash flow. This role is perfect for a consultative business developer who understands why growing businesses need working capital and believes in our clients mission to make business finance more efficient and transparent.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business development strategy: Identify, source and prioritise the SME verticals and types of partnerships that our client should be focusing on and potential collaborators within each vertical. Figure out which partners could help us improve our product offering, to open up new types of users.
  • Business development: Lead the identification of SME decision makers and reach out to potential partners.
  • Pitching: Understanding what our customers are up against and educating business decision makers on the benefits of using our client to fund working capital versus alternatives. Proposing our cash flow solution to suit their funding needs.
  • Execution: Supporting customer at speed through the application process, reviewing applications submitted against document requirements, and reasoning as well as potential underwriting questions likely to come up.
  • Communicating with owners and partners about any missing information and/or documentation to make sure you can pass complete and comprehensive applications to our Credit team for review.
  • Assisting customers with the draw-down process.
  • Getting clients set up and well versed with our clients platform.
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis of key business opportunities.

  • Commercial acumen: An ability to spot an opportunity and structure a solution that solves the cash flow challenges of businesses.
  • A strong track record of sales performance; meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Outgoing, high-energy, and enjoy talking with people.
  • Keen interest in financial technology sector and the growing online lending space
  • Tenacity: The ability to stay the course and see a lead through to fruition. Overcoming hurdles that arise along the way.
