We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Senior Analyst, Compliance to strengthen our Compliance team, with a core focus on transaction monitoring and blockchain analytics. This role is ideal for a professional with a deep understanding of anti-money laundering (AML) practices and blockchain technology, who is committed to ensuring our operations adhere to regulatory expectations—particularly those set by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the implementation and refinement of transaction monitoring systems, focusing on both fiat and digital asset transactions to detect unusual or suspicious activity.
- Conduct in-depth blockchain transaction analysis, including wallet screening, source of funds tracing, and identifying potential links to illicit activities using blockchain analytics tools.
- Assist in enhancing and enforcing AML/CFT frameworks and controls specific to Digital Payment Token (DPT) services and cross-border money transfer operations under the Major Payment Institution (MPI) and Capital Markets Services (CMS) licenses.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Manager to review and assess alerts generated from transaction monitoring systems and escalate cases for further investigation where necessary.
- Perform and review Customer Due Diligence (CDD), including ongoing monitoring, name screening, and risk assessment of clients, with a focus on crypto-native entities.
- Maintain and update Metacomp’s compliance-related policies (e.g., KYC/AML, Listing and Trading Rules, Conflicts of Interest) in line with MAS guidelines and evolving regulatory expectations.
- Support internal investigations and produce comprehensive documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
- Advise on and escalate higher-risk transactions or wallet activity based on blockchain behavior and reputational concerns.
- Liaise with Legal, Business, and other functional teams to develop and implement effective processes, controls, and compliance training related to digital asset activities.
- Manage regulatory reporting, audits, and MAS submissions relating to AML and DPT-related compliance activities.
- Handle other compliance-related tasks and projects as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business management or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in fintech industry or Digital Payment Token (DPT) Service Providers.
- 1-2 years of relevant L2 compliance experience in fintech industry or Digital Payment Token (DPT) Service Providers would be advantageous
- Familiar with Payment Services Act (PSA) and/or Securities and Futures Act (SFA) would be advantageous
- Excellent at building rapport with different client types through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Training will be provided to the suitable candidates. Prior experience in client onboarding and AML/CDD in a financial institution is a plus.
- Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills. Fluency in both Chinese and English is required as one needs to liaise with Chinese Speaking stakeholders.
