We are working with one of Singapore's leading FinTech firm who is seeking a Head of Compliance to lead and expand their global compliance function and strategy.
This position will start of in an individual contributor capacity and progressively take over leadership responsibilities, primarily over the firms' operational regions. As such, compliance and regulatory knowledge across the APAC region will be highly ideal, and travel across the regional offices may be occasionally expected as well.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute a global compliance roadmap spanning across all the firms' business and product lines.
- Manage licensing lifecycles and certification initiatives (e.g., SOC2, ISO, financial regulatory filings).
- Lead compliance workstreams for data partnerships, bureau operations, and external collaborations.
- Convert regulatory and legal requirements into practical compliance processes.
- Coordinate with the Data Protection Office to align privacy, security, and data-handling standards (GDPR and local laws).
- Support regional compliance leads to maintain local license obligations and reporting systems.
- Establish frameworks for vendor vetting, onboarding, and data compliance reviews.
- Develop and guide distributed compliance teams toward operational excellence.
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and address compliance risks with actionable, business-friendly solutions.
- Contribute directly to audits, assessments, and investigations when necessary.
Requirements
- An aggregated 8-10 years of compliance experience from the following industries - i.e., financial services, FinTech.
- Strong knowledge of KYC / AML / CFT standards, data privacy laws, licensing regulations - ideally across the APAC region.
- Proven ability to manage compliance across multiple jurisdictions, balancing global strategy with local requirements.
- Hands-on, execution-driven approach, able to operate under commercial pressures while ensuring compliance rigor.
- Experienced people leader with the ability to coach, develop, and manage distributed teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
