We are looking for a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in financial markets and cloud-native infrastructure. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust DevOps pipelines and cloud environments that support mission-critical financial applications. This role demands deep expertise in AWS Cloud, EKS, GitOps, and modern CI/CD practices, along with strong coding, scripting, and observability skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure AWS Cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement and maintain GitOps workflows using tools like ArgoCD.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software lifecycle.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using scripting and coding.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards in financial environments.
- Implement and manage observability frameworks using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and related tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues across environments.
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to DevOps best practices across the organization.
Required Skills & Experience
Cloud & Containerization:
- Deep expertise in AWS Cloud Services (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudFormation, Lambda, etc.).
- Strong experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes administration.
- Hands-on with ArgoCD, Flux, or similar GitOps tools.
- Proficiency in Docker, Helm, and container orchestration.
CI/CD & Automation:
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
Observability & Monitoring:
- Experience implementing OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing and metrics collection.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or similar tools.
- Ability to design and maintain end-to-end observability pipelines.
Coding & Integration:
- Ability to code in at least one of: Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience integrating DevOps pipelines with application codebases and test frameworks.
Financial Domain Knowledge:
- Prior experience in financial markets, capital markets, or fintech environments.
- Understanding of the operational and regulatory requirements of financial systems.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Preferred Extras
- Experience with security best practices in cloud and containerized environments.
