Principal / Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for experienced Principal or Senior Software Engineers to join our growing team and help scale our fintech capabilities within the FAAST™ platform. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in accounting systems, financial data workflows, and API integrations who are passionate about building intelligent, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement end-to-end integrations with accounting platforms like Xero, QuickBooks, or other financial systems.
• Design clean, modular, and extensible codebases with a focus on financial accuracy, data integrity, and compliance.
• Work closely with product managers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand financial reporting, fund operations, and cap table structures.
• Lead and mentor engineers, define best practices, and contribute to the evolution of our fintech infrastructure.
• Support ongoing enhancements of the FAAST™ modules, including financial dashboards, cap tables, and investor reporting.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with 2+ years in fintech or accounting-focused applications.
• Proficiency in backend languages such as PHP, Python, or Node.js.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial workflows.
• Hands-on experience with integrating APIs from Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms. Familiarity with OAuth, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong database design skills with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Comfortable working with git, Linux, and cloud environments (AWS preferred).

Preferred Experience

• Prior work in fund management, or portfolio tracking platforms.
• Experience handling multi-currency accounting, invoicing, or financial reconciliation.
