Compliance Director (Payment)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Compliance Director to lead our global compliance function. This role will drive regulatory alignment across markets, strengthen internal frameworks, and support our business growth in the fast-evolving fintech landscape. Based in Singapore and reporting directly to the Group CEO, you will work cross-functionally and regionally to embed compliance into the core of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Compliance Leadership: Define and lead global compliance strategy covering AML/CFT, sanctions, data privacy, and payments. Engage regulators and industry bodies to shape policy.
• Framework Development: Build scalable compliance systems integrated into product design. Update policies to meet evolving regulations and implement compliance tech tools.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to ensure compliance across business operations. Promote ethical culture through training and awareness.
• Team & Audit Oversight: Lead global compliance teams, manage regulatory audits, budgets, and incident responses to ensure operational excellence.

Requirements

You will need min Master’s degree in Finance, Law, or Business (MBA preferred).

• 10+ years in compliance leadership, with 5+ years in fintech/payments and exposure to crypto or cross-border regulations.
• Strong experience handling global compliance frameworks, regulatory audits, and cross-functional alignment.
• Skilled in balancing innovation with regulatory risk, managing diverse teams, and engaging with regulators and senior stakeholders.
