EDHECinfra is a provider of market indices, benchmarks and valuation analytics for investors in unlisted infrastructure equity and private debt. Asset owners, asset managers, consultants and asset valuation professionals use our datasets, which tracks thousands of investments in 25 countries over the past 20 years.

EDHECinfra is now embarking on a new initiative to understand the climate risk characteristics of infrastructure assets.

Role and responsibilities

The candidate will be working with large volume of data in various formats such as text, images, and geoJSON. As a data engineer, you will be responsible for the followings:

• Design data architecture and pipeline that satisfies the needs of different functions.
• Productionise code from data scientists.
• Implement high-performant and secured solutions.
• Operate, automate, maintain and update the solutions.
• Work with different teams to meet project goals and operational requirements.
• Prepare analytical reports.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge and experience in big data technologies such as MongoDB, Elastic Search and Prodigy.
• Knowledge and experience in ETL processes and tools such as Airflow, Glue and Athena.
• Knowledge and experience in relational database such as MySQL.
• Knowledge and experience in producing and consuming REST APIs.
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Python (preferred), Java, and R.
• Familiar with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3 and RDS.
• Knowledge and experience in ArcGIS would be a plus.
• The candidate should be a self-learner.
• A degree in computer science or engineering is preferred but all candidates with relevant experience will be considered.

3 days’ work in the office and 2 days from home.
