Our client is a leading FinTech company providing a one-stop digital payment solutions for merchants and financial institutions to accept a comprehensive suite of payment methods in emerging markets across Southeast Asia. As part of their growth, there is now an opportunity for a rising star to join their team as Head of AML Program

Description

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the Head of AML Program will be involved in :-

  • Establishing and setting strategic operational objectives, owning budgeting and managing costs, headcount and resources to ensure that the Financial Crime team is fit for purpose.
  • Maintaining expert knowledge of AML/CFT and Sanctions regulations and market practices applicable to the payment's operations.
  • Providing effective oversight of the operational effectiveness of Financial Crime Compliance matters
  • Overseeing and implementing an ongoing AML training program for other employees.

Profile

To qualify, the potential Head of AML Program should meet the following criteria :-

  • At least 10 years of financial crime compliance experience including significant years covering AML, Sanctions, Fraud, CFT and ABC
  • Strong knowledge in B2B payment practices in Singapore and Southeast Asia countries.
  • Proactive, passionate, humble individual that loves to build and lead a team.
  • Strong stakeholder collaboration skills.

In addition, the main task of this role is to ensure the company operates within it's risk appetite at all times while meeting business goals.
