Standard Chartered nexus is looking for a Data Science Engineer to help our digital venture in Singapore and define, implement and run the Data platforms/tools to analyse large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help improve our company. You will help to build and maintain data pipelines and productionize data products to extract valuable business insights
What you will be doing:

• Building and maintaining data pipelines using Airflow.
• Be the go-to person within the Data Science team for the productionization of predictive models and machine-learning algorithms for campaign targeting, transaction categorization, behavioural segment analysis, propensity to buy, churn prediction, dynamic pricing etc., working in tandem with the Data Engineering team.
• Working with Data Scientists to use predictive modelling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, other business outcomes.
• Creating automated data quality detection systems and constant tracking of its performance using logging tools.
• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy.
• Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques.
• Setting up Data stores structured, semi structured and non-structured.
• Implement tool to access securely multiple data sources.
• Use container technologies.

What you need to be successful in this role:

• We're looking for someone with 5+ years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models, with a relevant degree in Computer Science or another relevant field.
• Experience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Experience with AI/ML platforms such as H2O, DataRobot.
• Experience of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, deep learning, NLP, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
• Experience using statistical computer languages and its associated packages (Python, SQL, Scikit-Learn, Keras, Flask, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
• Experience with big data tools such as Spark and Presto/Trino.
• Experience with microservice based architectures.
• Experience on Kubernetes.
• Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Superset or Tableau).
• Experience building REST APIs to serve ML models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
• Problem-solving aptitude.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience Agile way of working and tools (Jira, Confluence, Slack etc).
• Ability to manage and prioritize daily tasks while being goal oriented.
• Team player, inquisitive and contribute to discussions.
• Cloud knowledge a plus (AWS/GCP) - (Kubernetes/Docker).
• Experience of data cataloguing tools is a plus.
• Prior experience working in a bank is a big plus.
