Job Description

Location: Singapore
Reporting Line: Senior Director, Financial Control
Checkout.com is actively looking for a qualified Manager, Financial Control to join our fast growing team in Singapore.
This is a very exciting opportunity for an accounting professional to join a rapidly expanding global company.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, self-motivated with excellent communication skills and can work to deadlines. You'll manage revenue operations, revenue reporting, billing controls and support other functions required in the finance team.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsibility for revenue recognition and accounting for legal entities in the APAC region
  • Lead credit control activities for revenue to be collected in the APAC region, including preparation and analysis of AR Aging and active follow-up
  • Key business partner for the commercial and strategic partnership teams to ensure new merchants and partners are accurately onboarded from a Finance perspective
  • Assist with financial reporting of the company on an IFRS basis to regional management and to the corporate accounting function
  • Assist with review of the financial statements for statutory close
  • Oversee certain accounting functions including but not limited to customer billing, fixed assets, general ledger, payroll, A/P, A/R, expense reporting
  • Preparation and approval of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation of regulatory returns and submissions in the APAC region
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations
  • Cash flow management - management of outstanding debtors and ensuring sufficient working capital to meet business needs
  • Provide reliable financial information for key decision-making to local management in a timely manner
  • Maintain documentation of financial process and participate in continuous process improvement
  • Participate in any system implementation/ testing projects or enhancements to existing systems or new applications, as required
  • Other tasks as advised by management
About You:
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or equivalent with a strong academic record
  • Licensed Chartered Accountant or equivalent
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with a multinational, tech company including leading accounting, revenue recognition, billing, compliance, and audit activities
  • Big 4 experience is a plus
  • Up-to-date technical skills and confident in preparing IFRS financial statements
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and data manipulation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical abilities
  • Team player with proven coaching competence
  • Well organized, self-sufficient, hardworking and committed to results
  • Highly motivated and able to work towards tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong written and spoken English and Mandarin (preferred)
