It is set up with the vision to "rewire the DNA in banking", to effect a fundamental change in the value proposition of banking to its clients, employees, regulators, and the wider society. Role Overview
Financial Planning and Analysis and Accounting support function professional to support the SCV Finance function under supervision of the CFO of SC Ventures.
Key focus on:
• Finance Business Partnership for the Venture business portfolio
• FP&A requirements for SC Ventures including planning & budgeting, performance analysis and Group reporting
• Support SC Ventures Finance with a wide variety of BAU, ad-hoc and Venture specific activities
To help the growing scale and complexity of the SC Ventures business and to support future reporting requirements, SC Ventures requires an individual who is dynamic, has great attention to detail and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities
SC Ventures Finance support
To assist the SCV Finance team with a variety of central and Venture specific matters notably:
  • Providing overall Finance Business Partnering for the venture business portfolio
  • Group reporting matters including but not limited to
    • Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Group Financial Reporting
    • Management Reporting for SC Ventures and the underlying businesses
    • Financial & Management pack preparation for Management Business Reviews, CFO Decks, Investor Relations Decks and any other ad hoc requests
    • Reporting requirements from various other stakeholders such as Group Finance, Group Tax, Treasury, Governmental authorities.
  • Planning and budgeting activities for SC Ventures during the Group Corporate Planning and Budget Restatement cycles
  • Set up of new venture businesses within the SCB Finance systems and assisting with venture operationalisation, including integration of third-party providers
  • Review of monthly actuals and expected forecasts across all SC Ventures businesses
  • Data maintenance for Venture and Fund reporting
  • Working with GFS support team and external parties to maintain financials
  • Liaising with Venture stakeholders on ad hoc queries, including business model creation and review and liaising with tax
  • Market and competitor analysis and well as detailed accounting policy research / technical financial research.

Key Characteristics and personal qualities
  • Risk and control mindset with regards to undertaking activities and attention to detail
  • 3 years of Audit or finance experience in a professional services firm or commercial environment
  • Be a trustworthy. Have an ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines in a fast-evolving market.
  • Focused not only on financials but also on operational, strategic and commercial issues.
  • Thrive on the uncertainty and be patient
  • Innovative - explore innovative ways to manage the associated risks and complexities within SC Ventures

Technical and Professional Experience
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant / CPA / MBA
  • Proficient in Excel modelling and PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience in Peoplesoft, Hyperion, SAP, Clarity, iLevel and Kushim advantageous
