Accounting Manager, TASConnect, SC Venture

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintaining general accounting, monthly and annual closings, tax compliance, and supporting auditing processes.
• Manage the day-to-day operations and finances of the company.
• Filing annual corporate tax returns; responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year.
• Performs internal and external audits to ensure that accounts are in compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides them with the information they need.
• Produce and maintain financial reports for the company on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Provide support for budgeting and forecasting as well as cash flow management to the CFO.
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and financial accounting regulations.
• Ensure that financial controls, policies, and procedures are adhered to, and review and update them when necessary.
• Reporting should be done in a timely manner.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

• A degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
• A minimum of five to ten years of relevant experience is required.
• Having experience in an audit firm (Big 4) would be a plus but is not required.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• An understanding of finance and/or fintech is preferred.
• An individual who is self-motivated and hands-on.
• A competent communicator at all levels of the organization.
• The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience with finance systems and ERP. An understanding of Microsoft Dynamics would be beneficial.
