Reporting to the SVP Finance, the Group Financial Controller will be responsible for Airwallex's global Accounting, Finance Operations and Financial Systems. You'll partner with global leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions and ensure the company is financially healthy and consistently meeting our reporting obligations.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with local standards and regulatory requirements
• Own and drive the month end close process and enable accurate and efficient financial results and reporting within tight deadlines
• Build and grow cross-functional relationships to collaboratively work together to resolve month end issues and solve process efficiencies
• Set up new entities, review consolidated financial statements and provide guidance to the team in all aspects of accounting
• Evaluate and continually improve accounting procedures, processes and systems to ensure standardised worldwide close process and efficient operations
• Spearhead complex system implementations
• Ensure strong controls environment by maintaining and improving systems, processes, and data

What you bring:
• Experience managing a global accounting team
• Experience across APAC, the US and EMEA
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience building processes and controls to ensure Airwallex scales effectively towards an IPO
• Strong communications skills is imperative, fluency in English and Mandarin is advantageous
• Strong academic pedigree including a CA/CPA qualification or equivalent
