VP, Legal

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for updating and overseeing on all legal matters, commercial contracts, and agreements.
• Advise in the structuring of transactions, selecting and managing external legal counsel, drafting and negotiating documents, handling signings and closings and assisting with the legal aspects of project monitoring.
• Promote innovative approaches and seek process and product simplification, working within and developing MVGX’s internal legal framework.
• Provide legal support for business, operations and marketing and sales forces
• Work with external legal counsel.
• Keep updated of developments in the Financial Services Regulatory space
• Ensuring that the operations and activities of MVGX are carried out and conducted in compliance with local laws and regulations
• Motivate and lead the Legal team

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience, and part of which was spent preferably at a top-tier international law firm.
• Bilingual, excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Familiar with Singapore Securities and Futures Act, and other relevant regulatory rules and regulations.
• Familiarity with regulatory regimes across multiple APAC jurisdictions, including emerging markets will be a plus
• Superior level of resourcefulness, ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
• Outstanding people skills and able to work well across the organization, good interpersonal and communication skills
• Positive attitude and take ownership in the roles and projects.
