Manager, Treasury Settlement & Payment Operations

 

Job Purpose:

  • Process daily BAU for remittance, MEPS+, Cheque Clearing, GIRO.
  • Plan, prepare documentation and participate in UAT and UVTs for projects such as ISO 20022, MEPS+, GIRO etc relating to Payment Ops.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process remittance, cheque clearing, MEPS+ and GIRO transactions.
  • Check, reconcile all incoming/outgoing applications for remittance, cheque clearing, MEPS+ and GIRO transaction to ensure processing completeness and accounted for at the end of day.
  • Able to perform both a maker and checker role.
  • Follow through all the transactions end to end and act as a single point of contact for customers.
  • Guide and train the team to handle exception issues.
  • Investigate and follow up on unreconciled transactions and failed trades.
  • Prepare monthly statistics reports, MAS and HK Head Office reports.
  • Prepare and participate in UAT, UVT, regression test for system implementation / enhancement / migration activities including preparation of URS, review of FRS.
  • Work with HK ITD and PCO (OPG) to gather user requirement, UAT test plans etc for projects relating to Payments Ops.
  • Participate in conference with HK ITD and PCO (OPG) to raise and resolve issues discovered during testing.
  • Projects are as follows but not limited to, Private banking phase 1 & 2, Swift Standard Release 2023, MEPS+, eGIRO and ISO 20022.
  • Back up the duties of other colleagues within the department, as assigned by the Team Head, in order to ensure smooth running of daily processes during staff leave absences.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of remittance, cheque clearing, MEPS+ and GIRO experience
  • Working knowledge of SWIFT
  • Prior experience with treasury settlement operations and treasury system will be an added advantage
