Public Relations Intern

The Public Relations Intern will be given exposure to a broad spectrum of integrated communications capabilities and develop skills that are required to be competitive in today's business environment, and produce value-added services and results for Funding Societies. This role is based in Singapore.
What you will do:

• Monitor and prepare summaries of a variety of news and communication formats (traditional media, blogs, online outlets, etc.)
• Conduct secondary research for the purpose of PR campaigns with guidance.
• Support the draft of written material intended to represent the brand's key messaging and point of view (Press releases, interview pointers, company or product fact sheets etc.)
• Assist with media event planning and support (including logistics, onsite support and development of collaterals.)
• Support media pitching and media follow-up activities
• Work closely with the Regional Communications team on cross-market initiatives which may span across multiple channels regionally.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to proof-read and fact-check written material.
• When required, assist with any other ad hoc tasks assigned.

Requirements
What we are looking for:

• Has excellent comprehension and communication skills to manage the different stakeholders when performing assigned tasks.
• Is an organized multi-tasker who's able to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Is someone who is actively seeking ways to improve execution approaches to achieve the set deliverables based on his/her understanding of the trends of the market.
• Is someone with exceptional understanding of the digital content writing nuances, which include social media captions (the use of hashtags, emojis, acronyms) and press releases.
• Be familiar with editing tools such as Photoshop/ Canva, and an additional experience with content creation is a plus, even if not professionally.
• Undergraduates/fresh graduates with a Marketing/Communication/PR degree.
• Compassionate to understand customers' needs based on the interactions via social media platforms.
• Be willing to fulfill the duration of the internship requirement for a minimum of 3 months (maximum 6 months.)
