Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Daily early shifts on a rotational basis, starting from 06:30 am SIN
  • Regular monthly support on weekends (Saturday) for end-of-day batches
  • Rotational coverage for bank holidays
  • Following the follow-the-sun support model with handovers from New York and to London
  • Some weekend work for activities like disaster recovery drills and post-release checks
  • Timely management of reported incidents, including logging, investigation, understanding, explanation, and follow-up to prevent a recurrence
  • Active involvement with end users, eCommerce client support groups, project managers, business analysts, developers, infrastructure groups, auditors, and compliance teams
  • Improving operational efficiency through automation, requiring scripting (e.g., Python)
  • Investigation and providing immediate solutions or workarounds
  • Incident and problem management
  • System checks and application monitoring
  • Configuration, change, and release management, including pre and post-release checks

Requirements:

  • Scripting/Programming Languages: Python, Java, PL/SQL, Oracle, JavaScript, Excel macros
  • Knowledge of technologies: FIX, TCP/IP, TIBRV, MQ, and other middleware Support tools: Dynatrace, Scada, Splunk
  • Experience in client-facing support and effective communication
  • Front office (sales and traders) business support experience
  • Familiarity with end-of-day batch processes
  • Incident and problem management experience
  • Familiarity with application log investigation and analysis
  • Strong interest in trading, electronic trading, and financial technologies


This role involves providing support for eCommerce applications and FX Options business. The role includes supporting in-house global eCommerce trading systems used during Asia hours, covering various business lines such as FX, Treasury, Structured products, and more. It also involves supporting in-house global FX Options trading systems, covering activities from pricing and risk to trade capture and lifecycle. The role requires interaction with various users, including traders, marketers, middle office, back office, and clients.
