Job Description
Wise is looking for an experienced Employee Relations (ER) individual to join us for an 8-month fixed term contract, as part of a maternity cover. The main scope of this role will be focused on covering ER cases across our offices in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo. You will also have the opportunity to work with the wider People Team (People Operations, Recruitment, Payroll, etc) and collaborate in regional and/or global People team projects.

Contract Duration : 1st September 2023 to 30th April 2024

Responsibilities

Employee relations:
  • Respond to complaints by Wisers by conducting investigations into allegations of inappropriate behaviour
  • Guide and coach Leads through Personal Improvement Process (PIP). Attend PIP meetings as required to support the process.
  • Facilitate difficult, but necessary conversations
  • Support and guide Leads with any performance and attendance management
  • Work with applicable People Partner on any retros/learnings/problems from ER issues.
  • Conduct exit interviews and follow up where required
Projects:
  • Collaborate with the team on local and global project initiatives to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide support to the team with other ad-hoc tasks, focus areas and project-based work
A bit about you:
  • Singaporean Citizen OR Permanent Resident
  • Previous broad HR experience, experience with a focus in employee relations and project management would be a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and practices, particularly in Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and has the ability to communicate well with Wisers across different levels and teams
  • Strong HRIS knowledge and technical aptitude, such as familiarity with G-suite, and experience with WorkDay and/or Excel would be a plus
  • Adaptable and solution-focused approach
  • Eagle-eyed attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with confidential information in a professional manner
  • Can-do attitude and a positive mindset
  • Honest, able to own up to mistakes (we all make them, after all) and reliable - someone who never breaks promises.

Salary (monthly)
$7,500 - $8,500 SGD
