Job Description

As an Application Production Support Specialist, you'll be an integral part of our APAC support team, providing exceptional support for Cash Management systems. Your expertise will help maintain system stability, resolve issues, and facilitate effective communication across teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently resolve and propose solutions for complex production issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage production issues, maintenance, and application releases.
  • Coordinate root cause analysis, action item management, and follow-up to ensure thorough issue resolution.
  • Provide prompt response to user requests and incidents, ensuring clear communication and escalation when necessary.
  • Support end-of-day and end-of-month batch runs, disaster recovery tests, and security activities.
  • Document operation procedures and contribute to the knowledge base to build expertise within the team.
  • Analyze support processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to preventive system monitoring, alerting, and proactive maintenance measures.
  • Communicate issue status and updates effectively to business users and management.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in application production support with a technical background in web-based application development.
  • Proficiency in JAVA/J2EE, Websphere/Tomcat/JBoss, ORACLE PL/SQL, UNIX/Linux/Windows.
  • Familiarity with middleware technologies such as TIBCO EMS/BW/Admin, IBM MQ, and Informatica.
  • Experience with ITSM tools like Service Now and database performance tuning.
  • Understanding of ISO 20022 and SWIFT MT messaging standards is advantageous.
  • Good analytical skills, technical troubleshooting ability, and familiarity with Unix commands.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of payments, local clearing systems, and ITIL concepts.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
  • Collaborative team player with a results-oriented and client-focused approach.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and escalate when needed.
  • Experience in payments and local clearing applications in the APAC region is preferred.
  • Knowledge of COBOL is an added advantage.
