Job Responsibilities

Legal

• Structure, draft and reviewing legal documentation.
• Where necessary, assist in the negotiation of agreements and provide transactional legal support and guidance to the group’s Singapore business lines.
• Participating and providing support from a legal coverage and support on group-wide projects and the launch of new business lines and products
• Liaise with and manage external counsel locally and internally to address legal needs of the group.
• Manage relationships and communication with regulatory bodies and authorities as well as industry groups.

Compliance

• Monitor developments and provide guidance in respect of evolving digital assets regulation in Singapore and the Region.
• Design and execute compliance programs for various business lines and ensure that existing operations are compliant with applicable regulations.
• Compilation and review of escalations in relation to identified compliance issues.
• Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting for licensed business lines.

Job Requirements:

• LL.B. or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• 2-4 years of Post-Qualification Experience in legal roles, with a preference towards experience in financial services regulatory or investment fund-related work.
• Qualification to the Singapore bar or an equivalent jurisdiction preferred.
• Understanding of and experience with digital assets, blockchain, and related legal issues is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing regulatory landscapes and provide proactive legal guidance.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
