About the team:

At Aspire, Finance plays a strategic role in driving our business forward. Our Finance team consists of a wide range of crucial functions across 4 verticals: (i) Traditional Finance with Accounting, Tax, Reporting, (ii) Treasury, which is a core function for a Fintech, (iii) Data including Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Data Engineering and (iv) Strategy & Planning, which covers strategic road map, long term planning, fundraising and FP&A. Our Finance team engages in frequent strategic data analysis, research, and modeling to provide the best financial insights for critical business decisions, helping Aspire navigate the competitive landscape and capitalize on emerging opportunities. The team also plays a key part as the first user of our Aspire software, pioneer in Finance transformation, reengineering our internal process to stay agile while maintaining the internal control in a hyper fast growing environment.

About the role:

The treasury analyst role is an entry-to-junior level position in the Global Treasury team, with responsibilities covering bank accounts management, cash management and forecasting, payments, financial risk management, capital hedging, and more.

This is a great opportunity to get hands-on Treasury experience in a fast-paced, demanding, but also highly rewarding and dynamic environment. You will get to collaborate with various functions across the organization both in Singapore and across Asia - to ensure efficient and timely operations of the Global Treasury function.

What will you be doing?

Ownership of selected daily finance operations such as:
  • Prepare and coordinate execution of documentation relating to bank accounts and intercompany agreements.
  • Record daily cash positions and collect monthly bank account statements and other reports for reporting/audit purposes.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly cash forecasts and related intercompany funding or cash repatriation.
  • Make payments in Aspireapp, eBanking, and via various payment partners including but not limited to supplier and partner payments, salaries, loan disbursements, and cashbacks. Troubleshoot failed transactions.
  • Deal FX spot trades and maintain FX risk tracker.
  • Maintain financial models on behalf of certain investors and prepare daily PF data updates.
  • Prepare quarterly investor summary reports and related payments.
  • Support the development of the Aspireapp platform by participating in testing requests and answering ad-hoc
We would love to get to know you if you have the following:
  • A university degree in preferably finance, economics, business administration or a related field. However, we will also consider candidates with a university degree in other disciplines.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a treasury, finance or payments operations role.
  • Strong capacity to participate in complex treasury/finance topics.
  • High level of professionalism to interact regularly with financial institutions.
  • High proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheet.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a team-oriented, positive attitude.
  • Willingness to get in the very details of a process or an issue, gather the information coming from multiple parties, crunch the numbers, and support the presentation of a structured solution to management.
