Senior Project Manager Core Banking

Role and Responsibilities:

• Leading the project from initiation to post-migration stability.
• Managing project scope, budget, and planning while ensuring compliance with project management standards.
• Leading and coordinating Functional and Development teams, including cross-functional teams.
• Organizing meetings with various stakeholders and contributors, ensuring effective communication.
• Identifying and managing project risks, dependencies, and escalations in a timely manner.
• Ensuring thorough documentation of project deliverables in alignment with WMIS standards.
• Serving as the main point of contact for sponsors and user representatives throughout the project.
• Defining project budget and planning stages, consolidating business requirements, and leading migration and testing strategies.
• Coordinating with PMO and centralizing project information from contributing teams.
• Identifying and reporting on project risks and issues while coordinating with various teams involved in the project.

Requirements:

• At least 15 years of experience in the Banking Industry, as a Functional or Technical Project Manager.
• Managing large-scale core banking projects with technical and functional challenges.
• Delivering projects using Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum or SAFe).
• Technical knowledge and experience in software application customization, packaging, implementation, and monitoring/support over Cloud technologies, Containerization (Docker/K8S/OSC), CICD, Cybersecurity, and authentication.
• Core Banking systems knowledge and experience, including transaction capture, settlement, and accounting booking.
• Strong knowledge of financial products and their underlying components, such as Securities, Payments, Money Markets, Foreign Exchange, Credit, Derivatives and Structured Products, Commodities, Mutual Funds, and corporate actions processing.
• Knowledge of payment and transaction settlement systems (SWIFT, SEPA, local domestic systems in Europe and Asia).
• Must have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Strong proficiency with project management tools, issue and release management, production, and support (JIRA, Service Now, PPM tools, etc).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio.
