General Ledger Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post daily journal entries for operating expenses, accruals, amortizations, and reclassifications;
• Review payment requests to ensure accurate account coding, supporting documents, and compliance with internal policies (note: payment execution handled by the treasury team);
• Reconcile actual fund movements (e.g., from bank or platform reports) with the accounting system to ensure consistency and integrity of records;
• Maintain and manage accounting system structures, such as chart of accounts, dimensions, and entity setups;
• Support monthly closing activities, including reconciliations, trial balance checks, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements;
• Organize supporting schedules and working papers for audit, tax, and internal reporting purposes;
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., treasury, operations, legal) to resolve discrepancies;
• Contribute to the development of accounting SOPs and standardization initiatives, particularly around expense accounting and ledger quality control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline;
• 3–5 years of solid, hands-on accounting experience, with proven ability to handle expense accounting and general ledger entries independently;
• Proficient in mainstream accounting systems such as Kingdee, NetSuite, Xero, or equivalent;
• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and journal entry logic;
• Competent in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables) for reconciliation and data handling;
• Experience in multi-currency, multi-entity environments is a plus;
• Self-motivated, accurate, responsible, and comfortable working under regular monthly deadlines;
• Experience in crypto, fintech, or platform-based companies is a nice to have but not mandatory.
