Job Description

Group Finance Manager (Fintech, Cards & Payments) / Orchard


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the company's financial planning, and provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and other senior stakeholders
  • Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets
  • Review all formal financial control and related procedures to ensure compliance
  • Propose, prepare and present Financial and Operational metrics as a part of the monthly business review process
  • Assess product mix and profitability issues and make necessary recommendations on resource allocation
  • Monitor costs, margins and pricing and highlight any major movement to management for corrective actions
  • Prepare presentations, manage, and develop regular reporting process (yearly, quarterly, or monthly) to generate timely, reliable, and transparent management reports for our Board of Directors, investors, shareholders, and senior management to ensure key stakeholders are knowledgeable and equipped with information to support them in making decision in defining the firm’s growth.
  • Lead the annual group audit and liaise with both the group and subsidiaries' auditors for timely completion of statutory audit.
  • Assist in completing the group consolidation and financial reporting process.
  • In-charge of month-end closing and ensure deadline is met.
  • Review monthly financial data of all subsidiaries and be able identify trends, variances and unusual items while working closely with subsidiaries finance teams to ensure data accuracy.
  • Assess and in-charge of group-wide implementation of new/ revised accounting standards.
  • Assist in resolving group-wide accounting issues.
  • Maintain the Group's Chart of Accounts and ensure standardisation of definition across all subsidiaries.
  • Liaising with overseas offices, to ensure consistent application in accounting standards, policies and controls.

Related Experience and Educational Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar qualifications (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CA).
  2. Minimum 7- 10 years of working experience including group consolidation experience, with hands-on experience in FP&A, M&A, fund raising experience will be added advantage.
  3. Experience in leading a team coupled with the ‘roll up sleeves’ and “can do” altitude mentality.
  4. Strong accounting knowledge in business finance, IFRS.
  5. Has advance skillset in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power point.
  6. Experience working in fast-paced Fintech/Tech/Startup companies is a strong plus.
  7. Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritise, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle and are not afraid to solve complex scenarios.
  9. Effective written & verbal communication, leadership, presentation & mentoring skills.
  10. Language proficiency : English and Mandarin
  11. Able to work independently and in a team, ability to deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
