CMC are hiring! We have a permanent opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Premium Client Management team. This role will be based onsite 5 days per week in our Singapore office.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify sales opportunities. Build the Pipeline - sourcing and converting prospective opportunities from a range of opportunity segments be it planner & advisory, indirect participants and institutional clients.
  • Assist with defining and evaluating the offering and developing new revenue streams/ opportunities.
  • Assist with client profiling - identify what has worked in the past / what can be repeated – where marketing spend should be channeled.
  • Outbound calling opportunities including targeting dormant Intermediaries or those who have migrated to other brokers.
  • Close sales opportunities with particular focus on high revenue value deals.
  • Ensure prospects or new clients are of good standing and don’t introduce risk to the CMC business, be it financial reputational, regulatory or other.
  • Preparation of proposals and presentations including responding to RFIs, RFPs and tenders.
  • Negotiate contractual and commercial terms.
  • Conduct Due Diligence on prospects as required.
  • Articulating client feedback and gaps in the service offering to senior management and IT team.
  • Build, modify and maintain outbound sales techniques not limited to phone, email or presentations.
  • Attendance at CMC sponsored events (expos, trading seminars and roadshows).
  • Act as a brand ambassador in all client interactions.
  • Comply with CMC Markets Code of Conduct, all policies and procedures contained within the Company’s Policy manuals.
  • Other relevant duties as required.


KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for financial services with a particular emphasis on Stockbroking and CMC products and services.
  • Strongly motivated to deliver required outcomes.
  • Experience in a Business Development Manager role, with a proven track record of building prospect pipeline, developing opportunities and closing deals.
  • Ability to negotiate contractual and commercial terms.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, coupled with CMFAS M1B, M^ regulated.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Singapore financial markets or relevant overseas experience.
  • A high degree of initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, and achievement drive.
  • Extensive knowledge of and genuine interest in financial markets and investment products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoy working autonomously yet be a strong and effective team contributor.
  • An entrepreneurial approach – observe competitors, identify opportunities, plan and execute.
  • A willingness to learn and understand the end to end business, flow and keep abreast of product developments.
  • An awareness of the changing regulatory environment and the impact and opportunity this brings to the business.
  • Excellent planning skills and ability to prioritise and manage sales in an organised and structured manner.
