The Digital Assets Technology team at Franklin Templeton is looking for a Systems Analyst, based in Singapore, to support innovation projects of small to large scale. Our team is focused on delivering technology to represent shares in mutual funds with tokens issued on blockchain platform(s) in a manner which permits live trading/exchange on a potentially worldwide and 24/7 basis. We support a mobile app focused on retail investors, a website focused on institutional investors and an internal admin tool for our customer support team. We have a variety of projects to enhance the current platform as well as projects to expand our reach outside the US and launch tokenized funds in Europe and Asia.


What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?

Solution Design

  • Analyzes, designs, integrates, and implements solutions for existing applications, to include work processes, modifications, interfaces, and reports
  • Consults with users to streamline application work processes
  • Designs interfaces and features for an existing application
  • Participates in creating technical solutions to maximize efficiencies

Production Support

  • Provides Technical Support and service by researching, responding appropriately to, and resolving users’ technical and data issues
  • Works with the various technology teams to address technical issues
  • Participates in user group or technical meetings to identify and address on-going needs

Requirements Analysis

  • Works with project teams to understand and clarify business requirements
  • Understands the modules and data model for an application and contributes to finalizing the business requirements

Implementation

  • Coordinates implementation of changes to existing applications
  • Documents configuration and participates in code reviews and walkthroughs
  • Prepares system test plans, test cases and scripts for a small-medium sized application
  • Performs system and regression testing and helps with triage and clarification of issues uncovered in user acceptance testing for the application development team
  • Performs miscellaneous administrative duties as necessary
  • Gathers information and creates reports on application related metrics


What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of blockchain, tokenized funds and digital assets
  • Mutual Fund/Financial Services Experience
  • 2 to 4 years Systems Analyst or technical project experience, preferentially on small-sized IT projects
  • Familiarity with a system development lifecycle methodology
  • Basic experience with the system testing process
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of desktop, client/server, web, and mainframe environments
  • Knowledge of technology industry standards and trends within area of expertise
  • Knowledge of technology platform architecture
  • Ability to perform multiple, concurrent activities in a fast paced and multi-site, global team environment
  • Ability to interact with team members in a local, international and multi-site environment
  • Ability to maintain flexibility in a dynamic organization
  • Ability to represent the department and company in a professional manner at all times
  • Developing analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Solves routine problems of moderate scope and complexity, following established policies and procedures
  • Able to commit to overlapping work hours with US Eastern Time (ET) for initial training, after which as needed to support ongoing business needs
