At Marketnode, we operate two flagship platforms, Gateway and Fundnode. Gateway is a one-stop, end-to-end platform enabling market participants to accelerate workflows, lower time to market, and capitalise on the transformative potential of tokenisation. Fundnode is Singapore’s investments fund utility on blockchain, providing the funds ecosystem with a single platform for transaction management, funds processing, and record-keeping.

Our company is looking to re-invent the way traditional financial instruments are originated, traded, booked, and serviced with the use of distributed ledger technologies. This goes across Ethereum, Polygon, blockchains and DEX(s) like Uniswap or Aave and would interact with stablecoins, CBDCs or other forms of tokenized money.

This job is based in Singapore.

Job Summary:

Working closely with the Funds product team you will be responsible for the technical strategy and delivery of Marketnode’s funds platform. You will manage a team of in-house and external developers to design and deliver the backlog of work all while ensuring scalability, performance and security remain at the heart of the solution. Working with the operations and security teams, you will help operationalise the platform as well participate in security and DR audits in order to ensure SLAs are constantly achieved. You will work with other teach leads within the organisation to create common frameworks, patterns and technical standards in order to promote quality, efficiency and transferable opportunities for all engineers. This role is a mix of hands-on development and technical leadership for a platform that will soon be a core part of the Singaporean fund management infrastructure, as well as providing opportunities for you to participate in the wider organisational technical strategy covering assets tokenisation and capital market workflow efficiencies leveraging DLT and AI.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in a similar role with a Financial Institution, managing a team of engineers (in-house and vendors)
• Knowledge of capital market products and their workflows, with funds knowledge a big plus.

Skills and Experience:

• Technical Development: Proficiency in various programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java with Spring Framework, Python, XML, SQL, DLT) in order to set technical direction and mentor team members.
• Technical Management: Management of a small (<10) team to delivery against the agreed plans.
• System Security and Risk Frameworks: Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities, remediation techniques, and risk-related frameworks in order to put security and performance at the heart of every decision.
• ITIL Processes and Performance Metrics: Familiarity with ITIL processes and performance metrics reporting in order to review and montitor production stability in coordination with the operations team.
• Vendor Management: Experience in managing relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and service levels.
• Collaboration and Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, resolving conflicts and managing items between internal and external teams
• Strategic Planning and Forecasting: Collaborating with PMO, Finance and other departments with respect to project costing, planning and risk management
• Innovation and Problem-Solving Skills: Innovative thinking and effective problem-solving skills in a dynamic and rapidly evolving tech landscape.

Qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications: Possession of or willingness to acquire certifications such as ITIL, AWS, TOGAF, AMS, SAP, ITSM, SCRUM
