We’re looking to add a QA Engineer in Singapore. The position is based in our GES Site at Marsiling.

As a QA Engineer you will:

Quality Assurance

  • Manage all customer quality complaints, feedback and Customer returns till complete closure
  • Monitor and improve on Customer return rate
  • Attend all Customer periodic audits review meetings and visits
  • Prepare and Update IPQC Inspection Checklist
  • Ensure all Manufacture processes complies with the current QMS and Quality Plan requirements as per Process Control Plan
  • Monitor and Improve product quality performance to meet or exceed Quality Targets set by the management or Customer
  • Prepare Weekly and Monthly Quality reports
  • Participate in Weekly Material Rejection Review meeting to drive down Inventory at MRB location
  • Conduct quarterly ESD audit.
  • Conduct Product Quality training to all Inspectors and Technicians
  • Conduct Risk Assessment and Validation activities.
  • Support on Product Safety Certification activities

Supplier Quality Management

  • Yearly review of all supplier quality performance to select Top and Focus Suppliers and to work out annual assessment plan
  • Conduct supplier assessment according to the defines annual assessment plan
  • Monitor and review on the Supplier Quality performance for Top and Focus Suppliers
  • Monthly engage and review with Focus Supplier’s Quality Performance and drive for Continuous Improvement

Material Related Quality Issue Follow up

  • Work with supplier for MRB closure/disposition due to material related issues
  • Work with supplier on Failure Analysis Request from QME team and Customer. Track and update FA log on Weekly basis
  • Issue and follow up on the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) to supplier; review SCAR effectiveness for timely closure and track SCAR log monthly

Part Qualification (First Article and Incoming Inspection)

  • Support part qualification in NPI (prototype, pilot and sustaining builds), product transfer, engineering change and supplier site change
  • Review and approve First Article Qualification package submitted in eFAQ database
  • Support on part evaluation initiated by cross-functional team
  • Generate Incoming Inspection Checklist for all customized parts to support incoming Inspection

Supporting roles

  • Assess and review of ePCN raised due to supplier Manufacturing Location Change
  • Support Quarterly Overall Supplier Score Card Rating
  • Review and propose for supplier qualification/disqualification based on supplier assessment result or supplier quality performance
  • Involve in external audits (customer, certification & regulatory)
  • Initiate and drive quality and productivity improvement projects. Carry out assignment being assigned by supervisor in charge.
  • Work towards to meeting yearly department KPI targets

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and/or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Supplier Quality Management activities, such as supplier qualification and supplier part qualification.
  • Experience working in regulated products manufacturing environment.
  • Broad commodity experience covering Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, and Electrical/Electronic commodities.
  • Basic knowledge on PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, Quality Plan, QC Seven Tools, CAPA Methodology (e.g. using 8D, 5-whys, Cause and Effect diagram) and Statistical Techniques.
  • Able to read and interpret Gerber, Schematic Diagram, PCBA Assembly Drawings, Cable Assembly Technical drawing, component datasheet, inspection checklist and sampling plan table.
  • Able to use basic QC measuring equipment such as CMM, VMM, Digital Caliper, Digital Micrometer, Digital Height Gauge, etc.
  • Knowledge of IPCA-600, IPCA-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620.
  • GD & T trained.
  • Basic knowledge in Mechanical parts (ie. sheet metal, machined parts, castings, plastics, rubber) manufacturing.
  • ISO13485 Lead Auditor trained. ISO9001 Lead Auditor trained will also be considered.
  • Good interpersonal skill, communication skill and presentation skill.
  • Willing to travel occasionally, have a positive attitude, enthusiasm in work and good initiative.
