Manager, Network Engineering

Overview:
This is an opportunity to become part of Mastercard's Global Network team. Our team is responsible for implementation of Mastercard production network. In this role, we offer exposure to a wide variety of Mastercard products and technologies and the opportunity to drive direction for service delivery improvements and support key regional initiatives with a strong focus on both internal and external customers. We focus on the business that our technologies drive in order to understand the potential impact of changes and incidents. We are looking for an established leader who has expert knowledge in network, and a passion for quality service as well as the capability to provide direction and ensure alignment with the global teams.

Responsibilities:
• Leading large, diverse, Technology Centre that support Mastercard's operational needs and fulfil internal and external customer requirements
• Partnering with internal stakeholders (e.g., network architecture, network engineering, network security center), collaborating to ensure network security measures are in place and operating efficiently
• Drives strategic efforts change within the network environment to ensure processing, data, and network availability across multiple platforms and data center environments
• Overseeing and leading a team of engineers across the region to provide quality network implementation and changes
• Ability to drive service process improvements and project delivery
• Oversees vendor relationships and service level agreements, providing advice and guidance for vendor selection based on cost analysis and review
• Manages budget, resourcing, and strategic expenditures for multi-million dollar cost centers to ensure delivery of effective, efficient, and predictable operations
• Managing teams, conducting goal setting and performance appraisal processes, coaching and developing employees as an organizational resource

Experiences:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science field
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in providing complex technical support and maintenance for networking technologies within the operations environment, including those with diverse scopes
• Customer focus mindset with extensive experience in interfacing with customers on infrastructure related services, further advancing their understanding of both internal and external customer problems and experiences
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the areas of planning and project management
• Some previous experience working on large scale, multiple scrum team projects
• Advanced communication skills required including written, listening and verbal
• Strong leadership with a solid track record for building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and team members.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Track record participating in global technology domains and providing input to change or develop standards; and to be a strong advocate for the team.
• Successfully led complex cross-functional domain initiatives, expected to provide project leadership and resolve bottlenecks
• Successfully identified areas for network enhancements, incorporating process improvements and implementing complex project changes to increase operational and financial value
• Successfully served as a subject matter expert, interfacing with customers on infrastructure related services and sharing new insights within the Technology Operations team
• Subject Matter Expertise in network engineering knowledge in routing, switching protocols and firewall with experience in implementation, operational support and project delivery.

• Firewalls (Cisco, Check Point, Palo Alto etc.)
• Wireless
• ISE /NAC
• IPsec, AnyConnect, DMVPN, Global Protect, etc. VPN Technologies.
• TCP/IP Network traces/packet captures
• ITIL Process related to Incident Management, Change Management, etc.
