The Right Profile

We are looking to hire an Finance & Accounting Associate who will be responsible for supporting the current Finance team in handling business expansion and enhancing financial reporting and processes. Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager, you will be supporting Finance operations across the region and be involved in ad-hoc projects for the team.


Responsibilities

  • Support in month-end Group reporting and closing activities to ensure completeness of all transactions
  • Perform reconciliation of bank, vendor & other statements & balances
  • Support Assistant Finance Manager in various compliance requirements and regulatory filings for the Group and subsidiaries
  • Prepare for audit activities including audit reconciliation and deliverables, and acquire a deeper understanding of our financial review processes
  • Liaise with service providers, external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary, local tax and government authorities where required
  • Support process improvement and system enhancement projects as needed
  • Take on ad-hoc projects, and broaden your skill sets and perspectives on our financial operations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accounting
  • 2-4 years working experience in maintaining full set of accounts
  • Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards, common accounting and tax practices, internal controls
  • A responsible team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Self-starter – high energy levels and positive learning attitude
  • Ability to handle a varied and diverse workload, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and a high degree of attention to detail and a commitment to continuous process improvement
  • Passionate, dependable and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Prior experience in audit or in a start-up is a plus.
  • Possess or pursuing a qualified professional certification. (i.e. ACCA/SCAQ/CPA/ICAEW)
  • Candidates who are able to start immediately or within short notice is preferred
