Job Description:
Our client is a fast-scaling fintech company revolutionizing payments and wealth solutions across the globe. They are seeking a strategic and people-centric VP, People & Culture (Business Partnering) to lead the people agenda across their global or regional teams. This role partners closely with senior leadership and business units to align talent strategy with business goals, drive employee engagement, and scale a high-performing, inclusive culture. As the key liaison between the business and HR functions, this person will play a critical role in enabling organizational effectiveness, talent management, workforce planning, and leadership development across all stages of growth. This role requires relocation to Hong Kong for 2 years.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, succession, and change management.
- Translate business objectives into people strategies that enable high performance and team engagement.
- Influence and coach senior leaders to strengthen leadership capability and alignment with company values.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, L&D, and Total Rewards to ensure alignment of programs with business needs.
- Support team scaling efforts across geographies while maintaining culture and operational effectiveness.
- Lead initiatives related to employee engagement, retention, DEI, and leadership pipeline development.
- Act as a cultural steward—promoting our values and building programs that foster an inclusive, empowering, and feedback-rich environment.
- Use data-driven insights to guide action plans around employee satisfaction, turnover, and productivity.
- Lead org health diagnostics and interventions (pulse surveys, focus groups, etc.).
- Support leaders through rapid scale-up, reorgs, acquisitions, and business pivots with effective people strategies.
- Drive organizational readiness for new business models, technologies, and talent structures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR/People & Culture experience, with at least 5 years in senior business partnering roles.
- Willingness to relocate to Hong Kong for 2 years is mandatory
- Experience working in fintech, technology, or high-growth start-up/scale-up environments is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of talent strategy, organizational development, employee relations, and leadership coaching.
- Excellent business acumen with a data-informed and people-first approach to HR.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and build strong, trust-based relationships.
