My client, a fintech firm is looking to expand their development team in Singapore. Join their talented team as a [Frontend/Backend] Software Developer and play a pivotal role in developing innovative financial technology. You'll collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to transform needs into elegant technical solutions. Your expertise in Java and Spring will be instrumental in crafting high-quality, secure applications that drive our business forward.
Role
- Collaborate with diverse teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust [frontend/backend] software applications using Java and Spring.
- Craft clean, efficient, and secure code that adheres to best practices and standards.
- Participate actively in code reviews to ensure quality, identify potential issues, and provide constructive feedback.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to guarantee seamless functionality and resolve defects swiftly.
- Collaborate seamlessly with the [opposite end] development team to integrate components and ensure smooth application flow.
- Work closely with QA to support testing efforts, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects promptly.
- Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up with industry trends, emerging technologies, and secure coding practices, particularly related to payment systems.
- Bridge the gap between cross-functional teams like product management, UX/UI, and operations for successful project implementation.
- Advocate for continuous improvement by promoting the adoption of best practices and technologies in the development process.
- Share your knowledge and expertise to support and assist other developers, fostering a collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience as a [Full stack/Backend] Software Developer.
- Solid proficiency in Java and experience with the Spring framework.
- Strong understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks like React/Angular/Vue.js).
- Familiarity with security concepts and secure coding practices.
- Experience in developing and integrating payment systems (highly desirable).
- Understanding of databases and ORM technologies (e.g., Hibernate).
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and Agile methodologies.
- Frontend build tools (Webpack, Grunt, Gulp) and package managers (npm, Yarn) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms is a plus.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) is desirable.
- Relevant certifications in Java or related fields are advantageous.
