We are looking for a Global Financial Institutions VP/Director to join the team in Singapore. The Global Financial Institutions VP/Director is responsible for leading the support of key Global & Regional FI (G&RFI) relationships across Core Asia to ensure alignment with global and regional strategic initiatives. The role will be a blend of sales, relationship management and business management, acting as a key resource in the formulation, update and execution of the G&RFI Growth Action Plans. This role will report to Head of Wealth, Core Asia.


What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?

  • Develop and update Growth Action Plans in alignment with regional (sales, client service) and global (GFI) team members across all key G&RFI accounts in the Core Asia region.
  • Develop and update Growth Action Plan for the specific segment of Family Offices in the Core Asia region and help to lead monthly calls to build a strong pipeline and track progress towards it.
  • Collaborate with Core Asia Retail business team and support Head of Wealth, Core Asia in business management and planning process.
  • Ensure consistent global and regional execution of all strategic G&RFI initiatives and ensure that relationships are managed and orchestrated in a professional manner, with clear communications to all internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate and update Franklin Templeton leadership and C-Suite resources globally against G&RFI initiatives.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key G&RFIs across all levels of the organization including product, strategy, and C-suite leadership, in full coordination with the Core Asia Wealth Sales teams. Align G&RFI relationships against internal resources to provide global and regional perspective, industry insight, knowledge transfer, and product solutions.
  • Contribute to the creation of opportunities with G&RFI clients through conversations and interaction with internal & external stakeholders, expanding the range of existing opportunities to encompass a wider range of strategic product solutions, with the objective to position Franklin Templeton as an internal thought leader and long-term partner.
  • Act as the G&RFI’s primary regional point of contact in internal forums and represent Core Asia Wealth sales efforts across G&RFIs.
  • Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the unique requirements of G&RFI clients in Core Asia and the unique regulatory and product demands of APAC markets to ensure product alignment and compliance.
  • Support the Head of Wealth, Core Asia in business management activities, such as client follow ups, maintenance of pipeline across product lines, Alts in particular.
  • Collaboration with internal subsidiaries and stakeholders including diverse sales, product management and marketing teams will be essential.


What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a finance related discipline
  • 10+ years’ equivalent experience in the asset management and/or financial industry
  • A proven track record in business management and planning in funds management/financial industry
  • Strong knowledge of financial services industry, funds management strategies and key competitors/retail market players
  • A strong team player and strong interpersonal skills
  • Possess relationship management skills and relevant experiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • High levels of personal and professional integrity to develop deep relationships
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work effectively in a revenue-based environment.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced, team environment
